Pike's Peak: Just plain awful

So, I tried Starbuck's new Pike's Peak Roast or whatever the hell it is called. It is awful. I hate it. And now that is the only coffee they are brewing. What is wrong with these people? They have reduced all the coffee choices to this one and they expect customers will be happy with that?

This comes on the heels of the big remedial training shutdown a month or so ago. They closed all Starbuck's locations down for remedial training for employees. That was a big announcement to customers that they have big customer service problems.

Now, I think the senior management needs remedial training. They have serious problems.

It's Pike Place Roast. Which is where Starbucks started in 1971. It's supposed to appeal to all coffee drinkers. It's smooth like a medium, but has some aspects of a bold coffee. As a Starbucks partner, I'm not a fan. I myself love bold coffees, my favorite being the Komodo Dragon. Pike Place is supposed to pair well with cream as well, because other roasts and blends have not done so. Like you said, it's not that great.

And it wasn't really remedial training, more along the lines of creating new standards of excellence.
